Xu Wanting and Yin Mohan are a pair of lovers whose fate is fraught with difficulties. One is unable to gain the acceptance of her stepmother and sister, yet for the sake of her father and family stability, she often endures humiliation and suffers greatly; the other, due to his status as an illegitimate child, is repeatedly bullied, until one fateful snowy night when he falls into a river.

Years later, two individuals who have long harbored feelings for each other meet again.
